Malawi Embassy in Harare, Zimbabwe The Malawi Embassy in Harare, Zimbabwe, mainly facilitates trade, consular and political cooperation. It also supports the strategic transit route to South Africa and surrounding countries as well as Malawi’s access to Zimbabwe’s air connectivity. Consular work that the Embassy performs is particularly important due to the large Malawian Diaspora that has settled in Zimbabwe.

Malawi High Commission in Pretoria, and Malawi Consulate in Johannesburg, South Africa The Malawi High Commission in Pretoria, and the Malawi Consulate in Johannesburg, South Africa, facilitate strategic trade; strategic transportation (transit) route; political, economic and social cooperation; and consular matters. The Mission’s consular service in South Africa is particularly important in view of the large Malawian Diaspora that has settled in that country. The High Commission also facilitates Malawi’s participation in activities of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
