Honourable Nancy Tembo, M.P., Minister of Foreign Affairs joined Her Excellency Maria Valle Ribeiro, the United Nations (UN) Resident Coordinator to commemorate the United Nations Day on 24th October 2022.
  The event provided an opportunity for various stakeholders to reflect on the contributions that multilateral institutions, particularly the United Nations, are making in fostering a better world. The UN has been an important multilateral body in the attainment of global order, peace and development.
For Malawi, Honourable Tembo observed that the UN had been a reliable collaborator for our developmental aspirations.
The theme for this year's UN day was "Malawi and the United Nations: Stepping Up the Game for an Inclusive and Resilient Society."
