14 ENVOYS START THEIR DIPLOMATIC MISSION WITH MALAWI

 

Ambassadors from 14 countries have marked the beginning of their diplomatic Mission with Malawi after presenting their letters of credence to His Excellency Prof. Arthur Peter Mutharika, President of the Republic of Malawi.
President Prof. Arthur Peter Mutharika received the letters of credence at a ceremony that took place at Sanjika Palace in Blantyre, strengthening Malawi bilateral relations with 14 countries.

The new envoys are from Canada, Australia, France, Sweden, Netherlands, Poland, Namibia, Ghana, Uganda, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Philippines and South Korea.

President Mutharika, welcomed the envoys and assured them of his Governments total commitment and support in taking the cooperation between Malawi and their respective countries to another level.
Speaking after presenting the letters, the new envoys pledged their countries commitment to support Malawi's economic growth and to work with Malawi in areas of mining tourism, trade and investment, agriculture health and education among others.

Malawi treasures its bilateral partnerships with other countries and has 19 embassies and 3 consulates abroad and 20 Diplomatic missions resident in the country.
